So, as always, I purchased these in white, two years ago. I buy white, because I am a nut about a clean bathroom and the only way to tell if a towel is clean, it needs to be old school white.
I am about to order MORE… after two years there is a small fray on one towel… but that is over two years a many many washings later, including bleach! I read the reviews, I think for the price you are getting a super high quality towel. I mean seriously people, break up the set… 2 large bath towels, 2 large hand towel and 2 wash clothes… your local super store would charge you more for crappy towels.
Super plush, dries you off well and they feel great. Yes, I have boughten those $150 department store bath towels… sad to say, these lasted longer, feel better and looked better. No, they aren't those really expensive ones you can go buy at a department store, but for the price, holy cow they are nice. I haven't quite figured out why one here people compare products, like a Frontgate towel which is $59 - $79 for ONE towel.. to this whole set of six for around $50, that is like saying "My Mercedes drives better than my Fiat"… well, I hope it does, it cost 5 times more! Common sense!
One big thing to remember…. Vinegar… and not just a quick wash. When you get new towels (or most things cotton) put them in the washer with vinegar, start the washer, let it mix up and then open the lid or stop it for a couple of hours. Cotton will always feel softer and dry you off better if you do this. Cotton, once picked is sprayed with a wax/plastic chemical, so while it is being stored in a silo, bugs don't eat on it! Soaking in Vinegar removes this. I have no idea why, but normal detergent won't remove it… and once you have put them in the dryer, forget about it, heat sets it into the fabric.
I would recommend these to anyone, including my super picky Mother, who hadn't ever purchased a towel outside of a high end department store in her life, but did and loves these.
